About takeFIVE's Creator
I am a practicing, board-certified family physician from Seattle, Washington. Though I appreciate and rely on my training in western medicine, I am also open to the wisdom of alternate medical therapies. I come from generations of eastern European farmers, gardeners and herbal healers, and feel a deep connection to the earth. I believe we have been blessed with a bounty of medicinal plants which, when used judiciously and appropriately, are safe and designed to complement our biology and keep us in good health.
My first experience with herbal remedies came from my mother. When my sisters and I became sick, she treated us almost exclusively with a variety of plant-based teas, syrups, tinctures and poultices. She had learned her skills in her native Austria, yet much of what grew in the Austrian Alps could also be found in the fields and forests of northern Idaho where I was raised. Rarely in my childhood did any of us actually visit the 'real' doctor. We were a hardy, healthy bunch of kids.
Today I have six children and two grandchildren of my own. When my children have gotten sick with colds and flu, I've done what my mother did; made herbal teas, piled on extra blankets, dispensed vitamin supplements and allowed the body to rest and recover. And for years I have given my patients the same advice and instructions. All the same I was often bothered by my inability to better help my children and patients stricken with viral illness. I wondered if even more could be done proactively to fend off colds and flu when they first attacked. My instincts told me that the answers, if there were any, were likely to be found in nature and in the time-honored remedies of folk medicine, far from the pharmaceutical giants that dominate health care in America.
I spent more than two years reviewing traditional, cold and flu remedies from around the world. My goal was to identify which herbal ingredients had a body of scientific evidence supporting their efficacy. My initial list included over one hundred organic substances; my final list just five. I believe these to be the five most promising natural cold and flu fighters on the planet.
I am pleased to present these five ingredients combined for the first time into one product: TakeFIVE™. It won't cure every viral illness that comes your way, but it may substantially lessen the duration and severity of your cold and flu symptoms. I have used it myself and given it to my children and my grandchildren with excellent results. Try takeFIVE™ and get better!
